Centreon Map 4.1.0

Released Dec. 2016

The version 4.1.0 of Centreon Map aims at fixing some instabilities found on the previous versions. Due to some errors and limitations our clients were running into, we adapted our database model, optimized data transfer between all the components so that the desktop client startup time has been reduced and views on the web client load faster.

We also took a step ahead and prepared our application for faster features and improvements development.

In the mean time, you will find here all the new features, improvements and fixes we made on the version 4.1.0.

Web Client

New features

  • Add icons in context menu

  • Gates can be opened in a new tab (with Ctrl + Clic)

  • Widget : Add feedback when clicking on « Save » button

Improvements

  • Add link to action url

  • Better display of long labels

  • Adapt list view on small screen

  • Redirect BA display on Centreon Web

  • Align labels on double link metrics

  • Add support of font properties on all elements

  • Adapt unit based on the value (for gauge and output widget)

  • Displayed metric on line charts are now hidden on the web client

  • Correctly close a gate when leaving the page or changing the view

  • On geographic views, use default lat / long set on desktop client

  • Reduce drasticly the data transfered between the Map server and the web client

  • Default style on geographic views is now the Geometric style (as on the Desktop client)

Desktop Client

  • Graphs are now loaded on another thread, preventing your client from freezing

  • You can now override Centreon Web images on elements (this will not affect Centreon Web)

  • The output widget offers much more possibilities and filters to display the data you want from a service or its metrics

Improvements

  • Prevent apparition of massive popups

  • Change default style of KPI and BAs on geolographic views

  • Reduce data transfert between Map server and desktop client

  • Medias from Centreon Web are now in the correct sub folders

  • Graphs loading new mechanism prevents your client from freezing

Fixes

  • Fix rotation part

  • Fix the issue where all the elements had the same color

Server

New features

  • If a user tries to connect twice, it disconnect the previous user

  • Handle compatibility with Centreon Web 2.7.X and Centreon Web 2.8.X

  • Handle compatibility with Centreon Broker 2.X and Centreon Broker 3.X

  • New findSpecialCharacters script to find invalid characters which made desktop client crash on login

Improvements

  • Don’t display deleted pollers

  • Add option to start tomcat server on boot in configure.sh
